Boxed Water Is Better, the mastermind behind the idea, claims to be “part sustainable water company, part art project, part philanthropic project, and completely curious.”  It started as a simple idea of creating a new bottled water brand that is kinder to the environment and gives back.  

“About 90% of the Boxed Water container is made from a renewable resource, trees, that when harvested in a responsible, managed, and ethical way serve as an amazing renewable resource that benefits the environment even as it’s renewed.”

The company donates 20 percent of its profits to water relief and reforestation foundations.  Boxed Water is available in select stores in Michigan.
