Massive Cabbage Tops Alaska State Fair and Wins Guinness Record

Every year the Alaska State Fair holds a giant cabbage weigh in contest where people are always vying for the prize of best growing vegetable of the year. This year, the winner of the all time 14th Annual Giant Cabbage Weigh-Off was Wasilla resident Steve Hubacek who won for his enormous 125.9 pound green leaf cabbage, whose head measured about 21 inches across, and its leaves spanned about 5 feet. Hubacek broke the last record which was set in Wales, United Kingdom, in 1989, was 124 pounds.
That’s almost as tall as me… but I’m 5 feet 2 inches so I guess thats not saying much but still WOWZERS!!!!!!!!!
That’s a mighty BIG cabbage.
