There’s a thing in my house that when you have ripe old bananas either you make banana bread or banana fritters. These delicious tasty treats can be eaten morning, noon, or night, as a snack or as dessert. These fritters are so easy to make and will satisfy any craving you may have.
So if you have a few of these bananas lying around your hose… don’t toss them, put them to GREAT use! Enjoy! Read the rest of this entry »
What is it about a chocolate cake that makes you just say “Oooohhhhhhh…. Aaaahhhhhhh!” Especially when its a triple layer Hot Chocolate Layer Cake. My sentiments exactly. You see this is the thing my daughters and my birthday are just five days apart and since I didn’t really celebrate it this year like most years I decided to make a beautiful delicious cake we could all enjoy.
Of course I was asked by some friends.. ” Tasha, its your birthday why are you baking?” and I simply responded saying “Well wanted to make something really yummy for us all to eat to celebrate the day… and I really wanted this chocolate cake!” 😛
This Hot Chocolate Layer Cake Recipe comes from the Fine Cooking Magazine December 2009/January 2010 Issue and trust me its a definite keeper for the repertoire.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🙂
Was there ever a food that you ate a whole lot of when you were pregnant? With my daughter I ate a lot of Mexican food… but with my son it was definitely Pizza. I rememeber there was a little pizza shop I would run to in Miami all the time for a slice or two. Morning, noon or night pizza was always on the brain. I think that is why he loves pizza so much.
Now you may be wondering if my son loves pizza so much why did I name this recipe KK’s favorite pizza? Well here’s the thing, my daughter was the one who not only helped me with the whole pizza making process but she literally sat at the chair and ate THREE slices.
Now if any of you have seen my daughter you already know she is a little thing… little or not she cleaned up theose slices and asked me when were “WE” going to make pizza again?! I just laughed and said soon hunny!
Hope you enjoy it as much as she did 😉

In my world yummilicious is a word. It’s used for things that are sooooo yummy, you just can’t stop eating them. That’s what happened when I made these Garlic Rolls. Before I knew it 4 were gone and I hadn’t even taken the final picture for my post. 😀 I know I’m greedy, but what can I say… “When I like something I really like it!”
These garlic rolls are so easy to make all you need is pizza dough either homemade or store bought, garlic, parsley, olive oil and I added parmesan cheese. That’s all and of course my homemade pizza sauce…
There’s nothing better than making homemade pizza sauce. Pizza sauce is so versatile you can pretty much add whatever ingredients you like in it. I use a basic sauce that would please anyones pallet. All you need is tomato sauce, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, sugar, garlic, and olive oil.
It’s that simple!

Do you ever walk into the kitchen wanting to make breakfast for the family but see that the fridge and cupborads are bare. I fell into that the other weekend. I asked the kids that morning what they wanted for breakfast and first they both responded in unison “A Big breakfast Mommy!” A big breakfast in my house means scrambled egs, pancakes, sausage or bacon. I know your probably asking yourself what is this a buffet… lol. Well they sometimes are able to get away with it especially on Sundays, because it usually is the one day out of the whole week I am home and able to make them their BIG breakfast.
So back to the story…
I walked into the kitchen and found that I only had three eggs and pretty much sausage was the only thing left in the fridge. So I decided to make easy cinnamon pancakes with sausage and eggs…. and guess what the kiddies were happy!
This simple easy cinnamon pancake recipe allowed me to whip em up in minutes and with the way these kids were hollering for food that was the best kind!
Hope you decide to whip up some easy cinnamon pancakes this weekend! 😉
