Tweet Recipes

23 Apr 2009 In: Food Buzz

For those of you who are not in the loop about Twitter, heres a quick recap… Twitter is a worldwide social networking-blogging service. Twitter allows you the opportunity to stay connected, through tweets.  Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user’s profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them.

Now for the most part, twitter has allowed foodies, like myself to discuss and report all our food related issues, such as new posts, recipes, restaurant reviews, and the sharing of tid-bits between other foodie blogs.  But the big craze has been the new thing where food bloggers are tweeting recipes with only 140 characters.  They call it Twitter Cuisine, according to The Globe.

Oreo Pie

21 Apr 2009 In: Recipes

Ever just want to have an easy go-to recipe in your kitchen when you are

craving something sweet.

I know I do, nothing is better then short and sweet sometimes….

Especially on that very morning when you wake up and say to yourself, “I

want to make something sweet and special for my kids to show them I

love them so much!”

Thats what I said when I woke up the other day and knew that I wanted to make a dessert that my children would love (to worship the ground I walk on).  So… I went to he drawing board and looked and looked and looked.

I had always been told to try Oreo pie but I just never did… for some reason or another I always made excuses for not trying this recipe.  You would think for someone who grew up eating oreo cookies I would jump on a recipe that pretty much the majority of the recipe contains many, many, many oreo cookies. 🙂

But not only does it have oodles and oodles of cookies I also made homemade whipping cream, that just set it from the rest of it all.

So, I rolled up my sleeves, got my ingredients, and jumped right in e and said to myself… “this is so easy, let’s try it…. and I did!”

You won’t be disappointed.

You too can dive right in… so Get Ready, Get Set, and Dive In!

I remember going to the

suppermarket just a few days ago

and walking down the produce

aisle and thinking hmmmmmm,

“What kinds of juicy fruits will I be

buying today?”

So I bought some apples, oranges, bananas, watermelon, pineapples, and especially my daughter’s favorite grapes.

How she loves grapes so much i will always wonder, but she does…. She can eat them from start to finish, trust me I almost caught her doing it 🙂

But anyway, back to my story.  I purchased my fruits and when I reached home I saw that a few of my fruits were not fully riped.

I started thinking to myself…. “Do I Know The Secret on How To Keep My Fruits Luscious?”

Thats when I jumped on my laptop and started doing some research on that questions…. I saw a few different things but the one thing I saw that I thought was the best explanantion on how to keep my fruits juicy cam from a site I found called, Still Tasty.

I thought this info was so great I decided that I need o share it with all my readers….

So here it is 😉
