Sweet! By Good Golly Miss Holly!!!!

18 Feb 2009 In: Thoughts

While I was visiting my sister in Orlando this past week, I walked into a sea of cupcakes.  The sea of cupcakes were surrounded by stainless steel trim, swivel chairs, hot pink leather booths and the ultimate LA vibe.

Sweet by Holly

Sweet! by Holly is the name of this decadent custom cupcake creation.  With their wide assortment of cupcakes that cater to not only the sweet tooth’s but also the morning beavers, Sweet! by Holly is the ultimate cupcake spot.

The cupcake assortments range each day of the week.  Some flavors like the Cookies N’ Cream, German Chocolate, Boston Cream, Red Velvet, and my Favorite the High Hat (a signature of theirs is a chocolate cake with a vanilla butter cream frosting dipped in dark chocolate) are featured every day of the week; while others are only available on certain days.

Over-the-Rainbow Macaroni and Cheese

This past Sunday, was absolutely beautiful here in Atlanta.  As we were driving home from church my kids, Julian and Kayla, started to get hungry and were asking their all time favorite question “Mommy, what are we gonna eat?”  They started naming a list of things they were in the mood for, of course all of it was junk-food.  That’s when I decided I wanted to make some kid-friendly comfort food for them… homemade Macaroni and Cheese and Chicken Tenders.

Macaroni and Cheese

What kid doesn’t love homemade Mac and Cheese and fried chicken tenders.  I know mine do…. After I told them that’s what was in stored they couldn’t wait to eat. 😉

Well Valentine’s Day is vastly approaching and I came across this potent recipe; in

The Essence of Chocolate in the section of Cook the Book, for a chocolate liqueur that is so

potent it can be served on its own, topped with whipped cream and cocoa nibs.  It can also be used

in place of store bought chocolate for any chocolate or coffee martini, or hot chocolate.
