Are you looking for South of the border bites you can nibble on today to ring in Cinco de Mayo… well if you are anything like me you love some Mexican food and if a day like today comes aroud where you can just eat it all day…. then your in heaven. I don’t know what it is but ever since I lived in Atlanta I fell in love with Mexican dishes.
There was this one restaurant where my husband and I would go to that a friend of ours owns called Tijuana Joes….. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmmm, every Cinco de Mayo we would go in there and eat to our hearts content. Just thnking about it is making me hungry, and it’s only 8:05am… I think I have a problem… 🙂
But if your feeling like you don;t really wanna go out and eat then why don’t you bring Mexico to you by creating some delicious recipes right in your own kitchen.
You could always start off with…
Black bean Salsa by Rachel Ray
Chicken, Black beans and Corn Nachos
Then make these delish drinks to enjoy with them…
What will you be making to celebrate Cinco de Mayo???? Me I’m going with Chicken Fajitas and Mexican Rice and of course Chile con Queso! 🙂
Sharing and demonstrating my Love for food and to showcase different meals I have come across either through word of mouth, research, or coming up on my own. Introducing a community for all types of people who have the same passion as me, Food.

Dear Thatssoyummy,
I just stumbled across this and, Every May 5th, people in Mexico, the United States and in other countries around the world mark Cinco de Mayo with various types of celebrations; but how is Cinco de Mayo celebrated? It all depends on where you are – and of course, your own personal inclinations. Before we explore how this holiday is commemorated, let us first discuss the holiday itself; a lot of people are in the dark about the origins of this day.
Nice One!
