So I think I can totally say that I am completely and utterly addicted to my Panini Maker. My husband surprised me with one the other day because he knew how much I wanted one. So I have been thinking of all the delicious things I can make with it.
One of the first things I knew I needed to make with my panini maker was my favorite Tuna Melt. It is soooooooooo good! I add spinach, swiss cheese, a garlic and herb spread that just complements it and last but not least scotch bonnet sauce. Yes! I love hot sauce as well… 😛
How do you like your Tuna Panini?
I like my tuna with a lot of onions, black pepper, garlic powder, tabasco sauce, and mayo… but not too much. I have never been a huge fan of mayo.
Gather your ingredients for your tuna fish and combine them all in a small bowl.
Then its time to assemble the sandwich. I bought herb loaves I found at SuperTarget. They are so delicious especially when used for paninis. I slathered a garlic and herb spread that I just love on both sides of the bread.
Then I layered half a slice of swiss cheese, tuna fish, the other half of swiss cheese, spinach leaves, and dabbed scotch bonnet sauce on top.
Once the sandwich is fully assembled place the top of the bread on top and slice a teaspoon of unsalted butter. Cut that in half and place half on bottom of sandwich and the other piece on top.
Close panini griddle and allow it to cook.
Now this is what your panini should look like. A nice golden crispy crust and melted insides.
Enjoy!
